Student Conventions

The school is positively and actively involved in both academic and talent competition. This ensures wholesome development of each student as a process of bringing them into their God’s ordained destiny; hence building leaders with integrity and values that will never depart from them as they interact with the nations across the world.

Student convention is an annual event that involves competition of students in their various talented events. The events cut across from academic, music, art, photography, athletics, needle and thread as well as platform events.

Hebron Education centre has had a chance to participate in this competition since the year 2014. In this year, HEC sent eight students to Daystar University who then managed to achieve six medals. In the year 2015, the school participated in the East Africa convention at Kabarak University: they managed to get 16 medals.

In the year 2017, at St. Andrew’s Turi, the students performed very well; they got 78 medals and three trophies. Among the medals were 32 gold medals, 29 silver medals and 17 bronze medals. HEC also took trophies for position one in six-a-side soccer, best school in music and the school with the most balanced events. Moreover, the school took position two in the platform events. Ten of the students were then nominated to represent Kenya in the international Students Convention in the USA in May 2018.
